Deal questions
Are there real discounts on gorilla permits?
Yes, in 2026: Uganda’s low-season gorilla permit costs US$600 instead of US$800 in April, May and November (fixed dates). Rwanda offers 30% off its US$1,500 permit from November to May when combined with stays in Nyungwe or Akagera.
Is a last-minute safari cheaper?
Not always. Permits and good lodges can sell out, so last-minute trips are about what’s available rather than lower prices.
How much do groups save?
Sharing a vehicle and guide spreads the biggest fixed cost, so groups of four or more pay noticeably less per person.
