A safari shaped around you
Honeymooners, families, birders and first-timers all want something different from East Africa. Choose the one that sounds most like you.
Which traveller are you?
Every Dusk 2 Dawn safari is private, so the route, pace and lodges follow your style rather than a group’s. Start with the description closest to you; we adapt the rest.

First-time safari
A balanced first trip with the big encounters and a sensible pace.

Honeymoon & couples
Gorillas or the Serengeti, then barefoot days in Zanzibar.

Families
Shorter drives, boat safaris and lodges with family rooms (gorilla treks from age 15).

Birders
Shoebill, Albertine Rift endemics and wetland specials with expert guides.

Photographers
Early starts, longer sightings and the chimp habituation experience.

Solo travellers
A private guide and vehicle, with clear solo pricing on every itinerary.

Groups & friends
Share a vehicle and save, with routes planned around everyone.

Active & adventure
Rwenzori treks, volcano hikes, rafting the Nile and the canopy walk.
What changes for each traveller
- Pace: fewer long drives for families and honeymooners; early starts and longer sightings for photographers and birders.
- Lodges: family rooms, private cottages for couples, or simple, well-located camps for active travellers.
- Activities: gorilla trekking for ages 15 and over; boat safaris, nature walks and cultural visits for everyone.
- Price: solo, couple and group prices are always shown separately, so you know what you’re paying.
Traveller questions
Can you plan a safari for a family with young children?
Yes. Gorilla trekking is for ages 15 and over, so we plan boat safaris, game drives, short nature walks and family rooms instead, with shorter driving days.
I’m travelling alone. Is a private safari expensive?
Solo travellers carry the full cost of the vehicle and guide, so per-person prices are higher, but the trip is entirely yours. Every itinerary shows a clear solo price.
Do you organise trips for groups?
Yes, for friends, families and organisations. Groups of four or more sharing a vehicle pay less per person.
