Diani is about an hour from Mombasa, including the Likoni ferry. Ukunda airstrip, close to the beach, has flights from Nairobi and the Masai Mara.
Diani is a long white beach about 30 km south of Mombasa, protected by a coral reef. Dhow trips to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, snorkelling, kitesurfing and the colobus monkeys of the coastal forest make it a favourite end to a Kenya safari. Read Diani Beach.

The reef keeps the lagoon calm at low tide, which is good for swimming and for spotting starfish and small fish in the rock pools. The coastal forest behind the beach is home to Angola colobus monkeys, and rope bridges over the road help them cross safely.
