Lemala Nanyukie Lodge

Lemala Nanyukie opened in October 2018 in the eastern Serengeti, about an hour’s drive east of Seronera airstrip. The lodge sits on grassy savannah dotted with kopjes and acacias, in an area known for high densities of predators, especially cheetahs, and crossed by the migration in season.

Rooms

The lodge has 15 suites, including a two-bedroom suite, spaced well apart. Each has an oversized bed, a lounge, a bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a freestanding bath, and a deck with a corner plunge pool facing the plains. The main area has a lounge, bar, swimming pool and dining areas, with a separate spa tent.

The eastern Serengeti is about an hour’s drive from Seronera airstrip, or reached by road from the Ngorongoro highlands in about three to four hours.

About the eastern Serengeti

East of Seronera, the Serengeti opens into short-grass plains scattered with granite kopjes. The area is known for its high density of predators, especially cheetahs, and the migration passes through on its way between the southern plains and the north.
