About Sipi Falls
Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls on the slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, near Kapchorwa. The area is known for hiking, abseiling and coffee tours with local farmers, with wide views over the plains below. Read Sipi Falls hike.
The dry seasons, December to February and June to August, are best for hiking, while the waterfalls are most powerful in the rains. Sipi pairs naturally with rafting in Jinja and, for keen hikers, a multi-day Mount Elgon trek. See white-water rafting on the Nile and our active and adventure travel guide.
