Overview
Staying right on the park boundary in Buhoma means a short transfer to the trekking briefing, more time to rest after your hour with the gorillas, and evenings listening to the forest rather than driving back to it.
The bandas are spread through the grounds for privacy, each with a view over the forest canopy. Meals are served in the main lodge, and the gardens are good for birding before breakfast. Guests often combine a stay here with a Batwa cultural visit or a guided walk through the Buhoma community.

By road, Buhoma is a full day’s drive from Entebbe or around six to seven hours from Lake Mburo. By air, scheduled and charter flights land at Kihihi airstrip, followed by a road transfer to the lodge. We arrange either as part of your itinerary.
